I think you nailed it. You must go to the design of your heart. And it's clearly a Pitts for
you. I'd say sell the AcroDuster and get a Pitts. Keep the Spezio as long as you can afford and
    when the ti...

Those cast ones seem to work on a lot of planes. The tapered pin install is the way to go. I've
done several like that. The Champ i rent you can wiggle the rudder a lot and not move the
    springs. The b...

Worse vibration I ever had was the first take off in my old Stinson 108-2. We had it down for
annual and did the engine and all new firewall forward. We also installed new tires and tubes.
    On take off...

Ahhh. My tank has a plug in that forward part of the lower header tank portion. I think on the
bottom of the header tank is another bung where the fuel comes out on mine. I'll look and post
    some pics....

JackI must admit I did not know there is a flop tube in the tank. How does one change it? I
guess I need to look inside mine. I will add I found the cap to what looked like a WD-40 can
    inside my tank ...

"I have a SD too with a 35gal main tank (checked from empty with 5gal gas cans) and a 16gal
center wing tank. 5 gal is unusable in the main tank."5 gallons unusable????? That's a crazy
    amount. That's ...

I've often wondered why the plans didn't call for a Cub style cast rudder horn that could be
easily changed. My guess is "more weight...A simple tube works just fine". Till it don't. If I
    was repairin...

Do not know where you live but I have a lot of room if you are in the area. Anacortes airport is about 3 miles and Concrete airport is 36.
I have seen a lot of museums but it is the best, small plane that is.
Washington state north of Seattle about 60 miles. The weather settles into gray drizzle sometime in october or even sept. Stops about the middle of may with an occasional good day. But it did not freeze last winter! Feel welcome.
