Default Anyone near Newton New Jersey?

I'm looking at a project for sale but it's in Newton .New Jersey. Is anyone close to there that could look at it and possibly help with shipping it? It's a AcroDuster Too project I see on eBay. My son is really pushing for a project for after his car engine is done (we ordered $1150 worth of pistons for it today, he's working his tail off to get it going and I've slowed down my money into it so he can earn it...if I had a Porsche 911 at 16 I'd be doing the same!)

Yes, if they were local, for me it would have been $1000 and two days out of my life just to retrieve some parts I don't really need.

That was a great start of a project!

Exactly. I'm not "that" far away but I have a complete extra SA750 already

I did think about it though

I wonder if it's cheap enough? Hard to imagine one with a O290?

Default Anyone near Newton New Jersey?

I saw that one. I'm guessing the answer is no on a 0290 and that's why the wings are off etc on a 2004 built plane. After hearing your stories and having a 160hp AcroSport 2 I wouldn't want any less than a 180hp 0-360 and would prefer a 200hp IO-360 on one. I believe that or a 540 would transform the plane. I'm thinking a 200hp may be the best. But that's only based on Pitts S2a vs S2b. Seems people say the A fly's better...because it's lighter.

Still curious who ended up with the kit on eBay. I was going to bid but just so far by that time it didn't make since...would have if I was REALLY in the market. I'm just looking for the next one for after mine is done and that's another year or two away. But I know my Son want to build something after his Porsche is completed and I like the idea of him having a project to keep him working and out of trouble.
