Default New guy in south Florida

Hello everyone, been following along on the forum for awhile now. Finally gonna say hello. I live south Florida have roughly 2000 hours 95% tail wheel
I work for a banner towing company and work with 30 highly modified j3 j5 and pa18 Cubs. Finally have the funds to start looking for a Pitts s1s sometime during the winter and spring.

And was hoping to get some info on getting some good Pitts front seat time in Florida and do some more advanced spin training. Preferably in a s2b so I can also get my high performance rating so I can start flying the company’s 540 supercub.

excited to join the biplane family
Thanks

Welcome to the Forum..

There are many exceptionally knowledgeable Aerobatic Pilots here, and a bunch of us "other folks". So you have come to the right place to ask questions, find tutelage and advice...

Forgot how ugly banner tow cubs can be. Definitely purpose built. I towed banners with a '77 Great Lakes in the early '80's. The oil temp was in the yellow the whole time.

I assume she is experimental. How can she used in a commercial operation?

Correct restricted category. Back in the 80’s-90’s we had a nasa engineer give paper work and approved all the 40+ modifications done to the cubs. They definitely look different and we always get some weird looks when we show up to a new Airport.

Definitely will stop by sometime, but not at the airport today for once. I’ll be there tomorrow and usually every day.
