Danny, I saw what was left of it in WV 10-12 yrs ago. Airshow pilot landed it on the top wing during the show. Wrinkled mess.

It's true .....The UGLEST parents have the PRETTEST kids......If that's a true axiom for people , And without a doubt Danny proves it with his family......He also makes an absolutely outstanding case for it in "Trophy" reproduction !
Your right 007, It's looks just like you left it !

Sure is a pretty paint scheme. Itís a unique looking plane. You can definitely tell where it came from...Pitts. And where it went...Ultimate. Yet it is beautiful in its own right. From your flight report it seems maybe Gordon had the ďUltimateĒ with this one and like all things...he only managed to add weight and complexity on trying to better it...although Iím a fan of the Ultimate looks I confess. I grew up with the Carl Goldberg RC Ultimate Blue Hawk as THE defining aerobatic rc plane. Not even the Carl Goldberg midwing Extra could top it.

Gordon's design is very good ,there are some things on that plane that are way ahead of it's time.I still have the moon boot wheel pants ,but I could not bring myself to put them on.
When Gordon introduced the ultimate,it was bad timing ,the Extra 230 had just came on to the seen, and started the weirdo single wing craze. There was one very famous pilot( no names please),that had a set of ultimate wings on his S1T,but went with the extra 230 instead. This alone did not help Gordon's new design.

If I remember correctly, Steve Weaver had it. It looked fixable but it way more of a project than I was ready for at the time.
Iím betting it was totaled.
