Default Sky Writing!

If it's a hoax I don't think the Navy would come out and apologize for it. They have had enough bad press with crashing ships.

I Estimated 30,000 feet altitude because you don't generally see con trails until you're fairly high up,also what looks like tight turn radiuses are probably 7000 or more and look tight compared to the elongated holding pattern.

Also have friends who know guys in that unit that said the dudes are getting FFPB'd and potentially worse. That's 2nd and 3rd hand so treated with a grain of salt but being a active duty pilot I know exactly how leadership can spin out of control and crush dudes for minor offenses sometimes warranted often times not.

But this is my opinion and theory so all good and great topic for discussion, just wish my smoke had that much hang time.

I also predict in a few years we'll see some article "meet the former Navy pilot who drew a giant d$ck in the sky" on buzzfeed or similar.

I don't remember what the navy calls it exactly, in the AF we call it a FEB, flight evaluation board basically the panel of dudes who decide if you lose your wings.

FNAEB Field Naval Aviator Evaluation Board......that's when you're at the end of the table that doesn't have water or cigarettes

Flew up to Concrete with the starduster and my buddy with his luscombe and s sweet babe as his shotgun.. A fellow from Paine field landed with his rv 4. So we invited him to lunch. The conversation turned to the weinie in the sky. The rv pilot claimed the offending pilots got 6 months probation.

6 mos probation is correct, plus lecturing the masses on the error of their ways.

I wonder if they will ever get a promotion? Maybe start calling the airlines?
