I'll get some as soon as we arrive in Reno. We are in transit through San Fran currently and the Yak arrived at Reno today.

My Son and I will be at Reno also, Friday-Sunday. Going to be in the Angel Flight booth Saturday morning.

Flybipe, would be great to meet you and your son.

Here's one shot guys. We won the Unlimited Bronze heat today from the back so fingers crossed for tomorrow. We had to do a very fast engine change over the previous night, no sleep at all, but it's running better today.

Do stop by if you're around, we are using Rare Bears trailer so we are easy to find.

Congratulations on your win, 308.895mph, very cool! Is that a 1990's production Yakovlev?

We've been bumped up to Gold now. It's been a tough week, we had problems with our race engine so we made the decision on Tuesday that we needed to swap it out. We pulled an all nighter and put in the aeroplanes original stocker Allison, that was a long night. We had the Yak ready to run by 9:30am the next day after starting to pull the engine in the middle of a thunder storm with no cover (we managed to borrow a hangar later).

It wasn't running 100% which meant we couldn't qualify, that meant starting from last place in Bronze. We blew past the whole field to win. RARA bumped us to the Silver race, we blew past 5 P-51's to post a great speed and now running in Gold.

Difficult to beat Sea Furies and no chance against Voodoo or Strega but we're racing Gold.

Not bad for a rookie pilot and team from little old NZ, running essentially a stock engine and airframe.

Fly Low, Fly Fast, Turn Left.
