Radials love jet-A.
If its not anything but up and up, they need to airlift him to the next hurricane out in the ocean, dropped in a rubber dingy.

We have had several discussions about that in the recent past. I'd like to hope this time Doc isn't using a disaster to somehow benefit himself but I'm fairly skeptical when it comes to anything Doc is involved in.

EDIT: A Google search of "Florida Civilian Aviation Corp" turns up only Barnstormer ads (about 30 of them). Sounds like this corporation is a recent creation.

Interesting, wonder how a Sakorski differs from a Sikorsky.

It's probably accurate to say that he has as much jet fuel on hand as a radial DC-3 requires.

According to a Florida newspaper, "Bailey goes by “Doc” because he said he flew medevac helicopters in the military. Federal officials say he was in the Army Reserve and National Guard."

He is either 59 or 60 years old, according to newspaper articles, so he would have been either 17 or 18 years old when the Vietnam War ended on Apr 30, 1975.

Although he makes no mention of Vietnam, he did say he was a former "dustoff" pilot. The call sign "dustoff" was/is most closely associated with casualty evacuation flights during the Vietnam War (the callsign was first used by the Army 57th Medical Detachment in 1963)

Additionally, if he was really using the dustoff call sign, it indicates he was in a combat theater. Since he was probably too young to be a CWO during the Vietnam War, what conflict do you think this guy flew during?

Dust off is still a term used today as a word to describe a capability similar to "sandy" and the A-10

But yeah the guy is out of control.

The term "dust off" is still used by some entities in the Army performing the medevac mission. I escorted several of them on their way to pick up someone having a bad day. It is an informal homage to the folks from the Viet Nam medevac days.

This thread is kinda disturbing. Has this person slighted some folks here or something?

Thread closed. While I agree this dude is trouble, and the heads up to his latest dodgy endeavor is certainly appreciated, the thread is mostly, really just a bashing thread; not a nice flavor for the forum.
