It was the photographer and the pilot who wanted to do this photo shoot with about an hour of sunlight left. We got to this point and it was fifteen minutes back to the airport, and they said, "Danny, just one more shot!" I said, (no lights on the plane) "One more, then I'm heading back!" They took this shot, I headed back, and as my tires touched the runway, the sun disappeared behind Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake. Close, but worth it!

I named this photo: "Almost Home"

Danny

A couple from late last season. Might have been one of the prettiest sunsets I'd ever seen.

Matt, that's a great picture just needs plane centered, less haze, and lose the shiny water in the back ground. That's the picture I have in my mind for Miss Smith to hang in my room in the nursing home some day, that one and one I have of me in free fall just like this one. Sundown, soft light, clear, no shiny spots to distract in the back ground.

A couple of shots from a very talented friend taken a few months back, lovely evening for a fly. We needed to do test flights anyhow so why not.

Gavin Conroy is one of the best around and the de Havilland DH83C is quite photogenic.

Not the best quality - & angles are off a bit - Guess I'll have to try another flight (or 7).

Last year this time we were knee deep with snow and had one of the toughest winters in some time. Today I can't believe it is December 1st and temps in the low 40's! It was a stellar evening to be an aviator in ND.
