Default New(wish) member

Hey guys, I figured i would introduce myself. My name is Bryn Mosing in Lfayette, LA. I've been flying my dad's Christen Eagle ii for the last few months and really enjoying it. I have gone through almost all of the spins and will be getting into acro soon. I also fly a Citation CJ3 for my day job. Being somewhat new to the biplane scene, this forum has been awesome. Looking forward to flying the eagle around to some fly-ins and stuff like that.

anyways heres some pictures of my dad's eagle.

Welcome friend. Ask away and don't be shy to give your thoughts to us. Great group of guys here and glad to have another Eagle pilot. Tell us about your Dads Eagle 2. Did he build it? Pretty stock or ? The More I see Eagles the more it pisses me off they aren't owned by a company who actually wants to sell kits. The new prices are crazy, seems like such a waste to have so much data and info on how to kit a plane, manuals, etc etc and then a company price them so high they have no real intention of selling anything but the remaining inventory they received from the old company. Ok ok. Rant over. Welcome aboard!

Sometime when you're looking for somewhere to go, fly up to Winnsboro (F89) and visit. We work Monday through Thursday but someone is usually around on Friday and Saturday. Message me sometime and I'll be sure to be there. We have a lot of composite builds going on plus my Acro Sport.

my dad did not build it, it was built by Ernie Argence in the New Orleans area I believe. He built 3 and this was his second. The engine was rebuilt by DeMars and is rated at 227hp. Other than that it's all stock. I agree with you on the aviat kit situation, I don't know anyone who wouldn't want to see more of these things around... Guess it makes them that much more special!!

Nice I will have to do that. I'm in a hunting club in Olla so I know where you're at. I will let you know if I can make it up there soon.

Flying and learning aerobatics (hope with an instructor) will make you a better
Pilot all around. Now you need some Cub, Taylorcraft, Hatz or Fisher Type Biplane time to learn real stick and rudder flying.

Wasn't one of the Eagles Ernie built a single seat airplane? I seem to remember the airplane from back in the 80s.

We had a cub for quite a few years that i got a decent amount of time in. The eagle is a little different on landing though haha.

I'm not totally sure. My dad may know if that was the case.

Cool picture I snagged last week:
