Default 12V power for radio/intercom

Im thinking about making one of these rigs I found online to use in a J3. This particular one was powered with a drill battery. Anyone know of a better lightweight rechargeable power solution such as a lipo? Thanks

Be careful choosing a 12V drill battery. Many have become obsolete and unavailable as higher voltage units were introduced. Indeed maybe a case of planed obsolescence to force us to buy bigger/better models?

Yeah, I suppose it is unlikely you will be wanting to use the drill and the J-3 at the same time……..

There are some nice 12v power supplies on Amazon that will drop down the volts from these hovered voltage batteries. They were Designed to work with solar panels, wind generators. A pack of lithium batteries would also work with it.
