Default New Lightweight Flywheel Source

Or should I say Ring Gear Carrier...

Anyway, I just bought a new one for the Rocket and while it is not the lightest aftermarket unit out there, it is by far the cheapest at $630, and still about a pound lighter than a factory Lyc part.

I know many of you guys are crazy about weight, so maybe you want to take a look.

Go to SDSEFI.com for pricing/contact info.

In building the ASIIS I've found an extra lb costs about $500.00 on average.....

Damn. I should go for a run... I could stand to lose a couple thousand dollars of weight.

Tough to justify removing your existing unit and swapping it out, but if you're building up an engine and don't want to scrounge for someone elses junk it makes sense.

Would look good behind one of the Commanche style nosebowls!

I'm tail heavy. I also need to lose about $15k's worth in the pilot's seat.
