Default 2017 AirVenture beer-o-clock: Thursday, July 27, 5pm, Paul's Woods (exact campsite TB

Folks,

2017 Biplane Forum Beer'o'Clock will be on Thursday, July 27, starting at 5 pm @ Camp Scholler's Paul's Woods (right next to the show entrance).

We will have a small yard sign to help you find us.

The camp is on Deischer Ln between Lindbergh and Shaick. See maps and picture below. We will have two more tents by Tuesday, so don't get confused.

BYOB and share! I as usual have a bunch of Austin beer and ciders .

Folks,

Pardon for disappearing for a while.

@Larry: man, can't wait for you all to show up

So here's what I think we should do. Since Friday's IAC gettogether, let me propose THURSDAY for the "official" BPF gettogether?

Now, I managed to secure a camp spot in Paul's Woods -- that's a step away from Red Barn, Vintage, Plaza; near the "corner" entrance where the camp bus stops. I will know where exactly it is closer to the show, and may I propose getting together there? It's very close to the show, and getting beer there would be easy peasy (last couple years we had to creatively smuggle it onto the show grounds).

One more note: if someone has access to making simple yard signs (you know, the ones that show up on front lawns), may I ask for one with BPF insignia, so that I will be able to mark the spot on Thursday?

So looks like there's a dinner thing going on Tuesday too -- that's great!!!

I'll go ahead and "stake out" Thursday the 27th for the Beer'o'Clock in Paul's Woods @ our camp. I'll post the exact location when I know it .

The Alaska Eagle crowd is camping nearby. Might have to bring some salmon, crab, and beer money to the event. It will be fun to meet folks.

I too am ready to launch. It looks like Miss Smith will be in the IAC area as they won't let homebuilt in to VAC anymore. I will still camp down on row 92 though. Its great place to grade landings!

To make up for my lackluster performances last year.
(no beer)
Brining some local flavors from the home town Ale House and surrounding breweries.

The stout was tapped today. A sample went to the brewer, myself then the 32 oz. growler you see in the pic.

Smarcoux - awesome!!!

Okay folks, here's the final location and campsite. I'll ask admins to update the first post, too.

We will have a small yard sign to help you find us.

The camp is on Deischer Ln between Lindbergh and Shaick. See maps and picture below. We will have two more tents by Tuesday, so don't get confused
