That prop would look right on your airplane

We have 2 hrs out of 5 for the test phase. Flew tonight in perfect weather, smooth, no wind. flew hands and feet off at 2300rpm and 110mph at 4500ft.
i really like the view out the front without the front windscreen in the way.
What a nice flying biplane!
After Matt test flew it he said to reset the stab at zero incidence so i removed about 5/16" of washers and it flew with the trim lever back in the old position.

Dennis if it's any help my stab is set at zero also.
Parallel with the upper longeron.
The plane flies zero trim with pilot only at about all flight conditions. Or... elevator is so light I don't notice myself hand flying it.

Could you tell a big difference between the old engine and the new?

Different airplane but same thing with my Acroduster 2. Stab incidence zero, CG in center of range, airplane could be easily flown @ zero trim.

UNTIL I INSTALLED THE @##@#@ 2-P CANOPY!

I would now need to adjust the stab. incidence to have enough trim for hands-off cruise.

Not to hi-jack your thread but if you got it right,

LEAVE IT ALONE

Jack

Cameron,
The climb at 85 is scary nose high.
i was at 1000ft at the end of our mile long runway.
140mph at 2700rpm full throttle so the Pitts S1S prop at 76x60 needs less pitch in the slower Acro but we will live with it .

That's great Dennis. Sounds like it was worth the effort.

We are moving the RV to OSH Thurs am.
