Default Wings wire

Hi, I own an Acrosport. I did not build it.
I am looking for the part number of the front flying wire.
And also the best place to buy it.
Thank you everyone.

If you didn't get a set of plans with the airplane it would be in your best interest to acquire a set.

The wires are listed on sheet 15. The front flying wires for the Acro Sport II are called out to be an AN674AC, 1/4-28 x 93 3/4"RL. The Acro Sport I is on plans sheet 7. AN674AC, 1/4-28 x 84" RL

Steen Aero Lab may be able to supply the wire or perhaps someone here has dismantled a wreck and may have one.

I would determine exactly what you need, not what the plans call for as builders can build in small errors that need to be compensated for. As to where to buy, sorry others will have to chime in with that.

Could this be the cause of the breakage:
The lower mounting of the front flying wires on the Acro Sport is by a bracket located at the front gear mount. The angle of this bracked should be the exact same as the flying wire. If this angle is a little out, and not corrected by the person who is rigging the plane, a bending moment could be introduced in the wire. I believe this will break the wire sooner or later.

Like propellers, a small nick may go a long way.....?

Should nicks be dressed-out or as some suggest, buy a new wire?
