Interested in finding a ferry pilot to fly an S2B from Aurora, Oregon to Memphis, TN. Must have good experience in a Pitts with some references from past ferry jobs.

You got one. Sweet! Look on Barnstormers and find Eddie Merchant. He has more time than anyone in a pitts. Which B did you get?

Call me at 678 357 7912. 2500 plus hours in Eagle/Pitts. S2BC. I do airshows all over north america for myself and ferry Ed Hammil's airplane for him. Would love to help.

GSViar,

Maybe go snoop around Dewitt Spain they have quite a few competent Pitts pilots there who would do it for a reasonable fee. I live an hour north in AR.

Thanks for the replies. If something happens that Neil cannot do it, I will call Buck. Talked to him the other day. Nice guy.

In case anyone needs a ferry pilot any time soon, I just used Neil Shepard in Oregon and John Blum in Denver. Neil because of his schedule could only get my Pitts as far as Denver and then John brought it to Memphis. John also stayed with me an extra day which let meget in 20 landings or so and some spin training. Both did just as they said they would, did not run up excess cost, and were very perfessional. I would definately use them again.

Want to give a thumbs up to Buck Roetman also. If things schedule wise had not worked out with Neil and John, Buck was willing to help me out if needed. Good to have guys around willing to do this. I have been flying for years and have over 17,000 hours. I would not want to jump in strange airplanes and head out across country.

John is a good guy. I did my CFI spin training with him in his Pitts.

Yep. He also arranged for a hanger at Rocky
Mountain airport for the Pitts for a week. Didn't cost
me a dime.
