    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Sometimes in life you just have to stop for a minute and exhale. Today was one of those days, I'm 54 years old and have lived what I consider an amazing life! My first airplane ride was when I was 5 on my Dads lap in an open cockpit Stearman cropduster. I soloed a wore out J3 Cub when I was 13 years old. I spent 26 years in the Army, deployed 5 times and saw more **** than any man deserves to ever see. I have over 1,000 hours, all VFR in tube and fabric airplanes with no flights over 2.5 hours. I go upside down and round and round in a tiny biplane that has a hp/weight ratio that is matched by few airplanes. But today was the day! Today I soloed a Waco with a Curtiss OXX-6 engine. Little ole me! What a day, what a day I will never forget!
