• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I found my deep well 7/8 inch sockets were to short inside to remove my spark plugs. The sparkplug hit the shoulder at the top of the socket stopping it fitting over the nut on the plug (Champion EM42-E). I found a 7/8 oxygen sensor socket worked perfect for this and they are available at most all auto parts stores $12
I also found harbor freight has a nice $1.99 holder for tools designed to hang in peg board. I will mount it to my folding work table edge by drilling two 1/8" holes for a spark plug holder.

I found a nice black plastic folding table 4ft long at Walmart for $25 and a large size oil drip pan for $12. Small powerful fan $12. The table makes it very convenient to have tools nearby while working on the engine. The smaller table size keeps me from loading it up with excess junk forcing me to limit the tools to only what I need.
I tend to fill a hanger up quickly with junk. I cannot seem to break the habit.:)
