• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Just back from the Lonestar Aerobatics Championships in Graham Texas.

Graham was a wonderful town with a nice hotel just across the road from the airport. The town itself was absolutely supportive and into the competition. Many people stopped by to watch and take it all in. The social events were great. It was well-attended by competitors. The folks running it Curt, Paul, Jeff, Tom, and so many people that it takes to get and keep these things chugging down the tracks.... Thank you! This is a great competition for any of you looking to make it out next year.. GO!!!

Something that was really awesome was a sportsman class with 10 competitors. In my limited experience that's a $hitTon for a regional contest. Hopefully it's a sign of growth in the sport at the lower levels. At sportsman with one exception we were all on at least our second contest.

My only complaint is that I put on a few pounds in beer and food shifting my CG even further aft in the Eagle. I may have to adjust my spin entry technique.

Oh... and biplanes swept first place across all categories and the entire podium at Sportsman.

Advanced - John Ostmeyer Pitts S1T
Intermediate - Doug Jenkins Pitts S1E "Daisy"
Sportsman - (1) Jeff Cain - Bucker Jungman // (2) Bo Kalabus - Eagle II // (3) me - Eagle II
Primary - Korey Stafford - Pitts S2B

See you next year. There is no way I am going to miss it.
