I acquired an Acrosport 1 project some time ago and posted about it here: https://www.biplaneforum.com/threads/new-acrosport-1-owner.16547/ This is it when I got it.

I finally have time to work on it and I am looking for suggestions on how to patch the fabric on the wings. The landing gear collapsed and the airplane left the runway on landing and the sagebrush tore holes in the wing fabric. The fabric is Poly Fiber painted with Poly Tone. This is not a show plane and I don't care what it looks like when it is done as long as it is strong enough. I have never done fabric work. I read the Poly Fiber manual and AC 43.13 but there seems to be a lot of leeway in fabric repairs.

The right wing is probably the worst because the tip rib is broken and I expect I will have to open the outer bay to repair it. Where would you cut the fabric there and patch it back in? Can I just cut a hole large enough to repair the rib and then patch it?

The top fabric is also torn above the tear next to the inspection hole. Should I sew the two rips by the left end of the aileron? Poly Fiber says you don't need to sew but I am not sure I like that. The rip to the far left is close to the rib and AC 43.13 says to patch over the rib and the old rib stitching then rib stitch it again. How would you do it?

The left wing doesn't seem to have any rib damage. The top fabric is also ripped above the two large tears in the bottom. There are also some small tears in the aileron. Can I sew the rips and just patch over them? Any and all recommendations welcomed.
