Does anybody have any long term experience with acro in an airplane equipped with a counterweighted crankshaft, such as an AEIO360-A1B6 (or similar).
I recently ran across an old Lycoming document which basically says that rapid throttle movements are bad for counterweighted cranks, and will eventually detune the counterweights.
Since I'm operating a counterweighted engine, this immediately got my attention. I was just wondering what people have seen in the real world. I've also reached out to my engine manufacturer.
