Hi, I'm new in this forum, I am a French acroduster TOO homebuilder.
Let me ask you a question: I made the aileron's leading edges and trailing edges with carbon fiber and the wings tips are wooden.
Has anyone already done this, and if so, is there any benefit? I will also make the leading edges of the wings whith plywood.
Why did I do that ?
1°) the expansion coefficient of wood and aluminum are too differents and can cause distortion under the summer sun on the tarmac
2°) I did not want screws in the spars.
What do you think ?
On this photo this aileron is not completly finished.
Per advance, thank you for your answers .
