• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

This is a long shot, but can't hurt to ask. There's a Charger for sale in New Mexico (not sure exactly where yet, I'll update when I know). The A&P who's actually working with the plane is trying to get higher-res pictures and some log info from the owner, but it's slow going. The photos in the listing were pretty small, and gave no sense of details. Is there anyone nearby who would be interested in checking it out to see what general condition it's in, and report back? Unfortunately I didn't record the N-number, and the sales listing has expired, so this is a very general "are you interested" ask rather than something more specific.

It's time to move up from the Champ, and this would be a good move, if it's in decent shape. I'd rather not commit myself to commercial air travel until it's clearly worth going. I'd also be interested to get the names of local A&Ps I could hire to check it out, if anyone has recommendations.
