What is the trick to getting the gap bands to look good? Been working on mine and I just can't quite get them to lay flat around the trailing edge. I tried to use hose clamps that I cut in half and then riveted on to try and pull them tight, but they slide to the inside. What would be wrong with gluing a block on the outside of the center section and the inside of the wing and making a 2 or 3 piece gap band that is attached with wood screws?
I don't know if this is a common problem, because I've only seen one ASII up close and I wasn't real impressed with the gap bands on that plane (the rest ofthe planelooked good!). In fact, I liked how mine looked compared to that one, but I think it can be done better.
Thanks,
Mike
