• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Hey All,
Back to Aviation after many years away. Started flying in '98 after a great ride in an F-16D (was a Jet Mech in the Air Force, earned an Incentive Flight). Earned my Private/Instrument/Commercial Fixed (w/ High Perf/Complex/Tailwheel) then started Rotorcraft. Joined the CHP in '04 and everything went on hold. Flew occasionally, mostly Aerobatic, but as the fam grew the hours shrank. Recently retired after a solid 17 years as a Chippie. Turned 50 & ripped that cord.
:)
Saved a bunch of excess leave and cashed it out. Getting back in the cockpit is my retirement/Big 50 gift to myself. Since the lifelong dream of being Maverick's Wingman prolly wont pan out, I'm gonna settle for slightly older Warbirds, Aerobatics and....stuff. I'd actually like to start using my Commercial to earn a buck or two. Not interested in airlines. Banner tow/ Biplane tours and any kind of Warbird ops would suit me just fine. Fun stuff.
I've got time in an S-2B(loved it), Super D/Citabria (loved it), Super Cub(loved it) and Stearman(Super Loved it). Looking to build more Conventional Gear time. Flight Club near me (Plus One Flyers) has TWO Great Lakes Bipes that I'm really looking forward to learning. So much good stuff!
Anyhoo, Hello!

Me in '97. Dream Come True.
