Hi

First real question from a first time builder.

To test that I have the skills and stamina to do this I thought it would be worth having a go at the centre section. After reading plans and getting the builders manual from here - Thanks Beej, I have so far have only constructed the steel components of the forward wing attach brackets and so have started to work with steel - not yet welding them. All progressing nicely and I seem to be able to get accurate square parts to the correct dimensions. So for only had to trash one piece of steel - got crazy with the angle grinder.

As a result of producing some scrap I thought I would have a play around trying to get the 6.5 degree 1/2 inch radius bend on the outboard ends of the wing attach brackets. Any ideas on the best way to do it? Tried clamping with steel and using vice, mallet, leverage and succeeded in only getting a 1.65 degree bend and I dont think the outboard end is completely flat - so not good.

So... any ideas on the best way to do this??
