• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I do not know all of the details, but was checking up on the guy that bought the SA-100 At Hood River Several yrs ago from the museum, and he has since bought a Maule and is looking to sell the SA-100, and along with it he has an SA-300 project less engine and other parts. The SA-100 was a complete airplane, but had not flown in many yrs, and the previous owner was grooming it for air racing in the Biplane Class from yrs ago, it has an O-290, and it has been run recently but should be treated as a core engine. The SA-300 Starduster Too is a project that has been over on its back with upper wing damage and the lower wings are okay. It has a fuel tank and engine mount landing gear controls with wheels and brakes, but the big thing is this project has flying wires, not sure what else goes with it. I can try and get pictures and a list of parts. He wants to sell it all both projects for $5500.00 bucks, and has clear title for both airplanes. But I think he would take any reasonable offer. Not sure if there is any interest here, but one never knows? Dave

His name is Kirk Delziel and his number is 541-490-4202 and the airplanes are located at White Salmon WA Across from Hood River OR in the Columbia River Gorge.
