So on the last flight of the day I sometimes shut down by using the mags to test the P leads. Sure enough last flight Sunday the engine just kept running.
Pulled the cowl off and found the left mag bottom attachment (the one that goes to the key) wire just fell out.
So I pull the pieces out and I have everything but the ground contact washer. It seems to have fallen into the mag. So I decide I can't leave it there, so I spend 6 hours Yeah, six freaking hours contorting my arm and bending it in ways that I am not sure it should bend to remove the back cover and I did at least find the washer and get it back together.
So . Should I have done that, or did I waste 6 hours of my life and lots of skin on my arms?

And hope to have it back together Friday so I can go to a box training day on Saturday.
Any tips on soldering this thing back together and why in the world would you use solder on an engine part (random question)?
