Any tips on how to work out where and how to install the windshield and canopy on an S1?

The bubbles from airplane plastics are apparently slightly oversized for trimming to fit... but .. well.. I'm unsure what to trim? I can get them to fit in a variety of different ways - just not sure what's the trick here - eyeball good enough, or down to measurements off plans - which is difficult since it is a compound curve.

It looks to me from pics that there is some variability as to the height of the windshield and the the height of the bubble as well. Would appreciate others experience here to help.

Thanks
