• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. Just curious what makes it a good deal? It was 27 hrs old with only 220hr. Sounds like a project with minimum of IRAN plus whatever else.

I guess what makes it “a good deal” is it being a 94 model with low airframe time relative to all the others with 40 yr old fabric and high times being sold for twice as much. From what I understand the engine has 1600tt with a top 200 hrs ago. Seems like the listing price is fair should an engine rebuild be needed the new owner won’t be in the hole if the plane is resold.

I looked at it a few weeks ago. It was a fair price for the right person but nothing more. I knew it would sell quick for the price once it was listed on Barnstormers. Hopefully whoever bought it wasn't blinded by the price and understood what they were getting.
