• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I am interested in flying in an Eagle to get a feel for capability and performance. More than happy to cover fuel and maybe lunch.

Based in San Diego, but can travel throughout SoCal - I am at MHV every other week.

My current acro and tailwheel time are in a friend's Extra 300L.

I am looking for a plane I might be able to afford to buy and feed, and the Eagle and Pitts S-2A/S-2B keep coming up along with the Skybolt (interested in flying the S-2 and Skybolt as well).

My interests are competing in IAC contests (Sportsman for now, but Intermediate and Advanced as I progress), but also some weekend fun/travel flying.

I am 6' 2", about 190 lbs, and am a below-knee amputee - about 370 TT, COMM-ASEL/IFR rated and current. Front hole is fine for flying but would like to at least try on the back pit and see how I fit.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
