Guys,

It's time to fab the gap covers for wings, tail etc since I will complete the striping of the lower wings this weekend and be ready for the final assembly. I read a posting by Bernie from a few years back and he appeared to have it all figured out. Really pretty work. Just wondering what gauge and temper metal everyone is using for the gap covers? I want to be sure they are tight to the various parts since this trim work shows badly if they are not tight. Bernie used rubber strips on the edges of his covers which is what I intended to do since that is how I have done every other plane I have rebuilt. The problem is the gap covers were already formed on those planes and I just had to strip and repaint. In other words the hard work was done. Any ideas?
