• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

As I was making my calls heading into 74S I noticed a confused call on the radio, “I guess I had the wrong Blue and White Hatz”. As I was entering the downwind at midfield, and I am flying a “Blue & White Hatz”, I was acutely aware of any radio traffic regarding “Hatz”!
I made my calls from downwind to base to final and heard, “Blue & White Hatz Two miles to the west entering on the 45 for a downwind runway 36”.
Ok, I’m on short final so I knew that wasn’t me!!
I pulled up to the fuel pump and talked to a Super Cub driver who was confused as to how I got there so soon after calling 2 miles out. I didn’t have the answer. Then another Blue & White Hatz taxis past and I got it!!
After meeting up with Tabb and Christian, we went for a beautiful formation Island Tour! From now on, I’ll be the “White & Blue Hatz”. Snappy
