I'm looking at a plane that I think has a Continental C125 in it. It's a six-cylinder "125 HP" motor, so I'm just guessing that it's a C125 (listed here: http://www.biplaneforum.com/showthread.php?t=13774).

I know basically nothing about the Continental sixes except that the camshaft is below the crankshaft, so they are able to sit unused a bit more safely, in the sense that at least the camshaft is bathed in oil. Presumably other parts (cylinders, crankshaft, conrods, etc.) are all in the same rust/sitting risk as a Lycoming.

It would appear that Continental last produced these engines in the 50s, if Wikipedia is to be believed. Are there still parts available? Is this one of those orphaned engines where you can still get parts but only used or NOS and with increasing price (and a huge delay if you run into problems far from home)? I haven't checked the AD list yet, but that's my next stop. I'm not sure what I'd be getting myself into. Any thoughts appreciated.
