Cracks in the wings.
<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
I was looking at a Pitts the other day and I noticed that there were six or seven cracks in the paint on the lower wings between the ribs and around the aileron hinge covers. I didn’t notice any in the top wing and did not look at the underside of the bottom wing. (There could have been more) None of the cracks were in the leading edge or ailerons. They were between 3/4” to 3 ½” long. I believe the plane was covered in the mid 80’s and don’t know what kind of paint or covering was used. (Appx: 600+ hrs on the airframe). I have no pictures.

Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Again
