• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

This is mostly about a vertical card compass, but may be more generally applicable.

Anyone know of a company that can produce a custom lubber line (the little jet airplane outline) that's always used on vertical card compasses? I can imagine doing it myself, but figured I'd explore commercial possibilities first. I'm just thinking of replacing the jet outline with a Charger top-down view. I really like vertical card compasses, but the jet would be severely anachronistic in my 1930s styled plane. I just dropped a line to Falcon (one of the makers of VCCs), and they say they can't do custom silkscreening.

I would also be interested to hear of anyone having success having other custom gauge faces made. I recall someone recently had some luck working with UMA to make, I think, a custom electronic tachometer, which necessarily involved a non-stock face.
