My wife and I had the opportunity to attend a D-Day event at the Dakota Territory Air Museum in Minot, ND last evening. They re-enacted painting invasion stripes on the C-53 Duchess of Dakota. After that was complete they gave some veterans a ride while being escorted by a Spitfire and P-51. They also had a "Beer from Above" event where they re-enacted hauling beer to the troops in kegs mounted to the hard points of the P-51. After the planes landed they tapped the kegs and members of the club got to enjoy the beer! It was a great evening and the volunteers at the museum put in allot of work pulling it all off. Thought you guys might enjoy some pics.
