When building my elevator push rods I am going to use the AN490HT11P inserts. These are built for .035 tubing. So the question, is it better to machine down the insert to fit the .049 tubing or use .035 tubing instead. I know its not usual to size down but my thinking says that if these are made to fit .035 that must be a popular size to use for pushrods, no?? I want to go this route to eliminate the concerns of the rod ends not fitting the tubing correctly as discussed before in earlier topics.
Thanks, Nick
