Hi,
My friend has a Skybolt he claims won't stall!!!! At about 80 mph, if he pulls the power off, it simply falls out of the sky!!
I suggested maybe he doesn't have enough elevator authority to maintain level flight to the stall. I measured his elevatorand mine. His elevator has about 18 degrees up deflection. Mine has about 27 degrees up. Mine will fly level to a 1G stall at about 68mph. (I have an M14-P and its a bit heavier than most.)
My friend claims Lamar Steen called for 18 degrees up.
Can anyone answer as to the correct setting for the elevator?
Thanks,
J.P.
