• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I'm going into my senior year for mechanical engineering this fall so I need to figure out what to do for my capstone project so I thought I would ask you guys. Is there anything you would like to see improved/re-engineered/designed/created? I only have two semesters starting this fall to design, test, and manufacture it so keep that in mind.

Little back story (sort of relevant?):
Long sad story short, my father decided to play hide and go seek with me at a very young age (he's really good at it, I still haven't found him...) and found flying shortly after. I fell in love with Pitts' and what Steve Wolf has done, to the point of obsession. I went to school for engineering so I could afford to own a Pitts and learn how to design my own Pitts like the Wolf (haven't learned anything about designing a plane lol). So anything related to that is right up my ally.
