Hi All- I've got a question for the brain trust. I'm making new floor boards for our Firebolt rebuild. 5 ply birch with a mahogany stain. A very good IA recommended epoxy over polyurethane, but I'm having issues with the epoxy not laying out smoothly. I fully expected the initial, thinned coat to to have all sorts of fuzzies, lumps, and what nots, but the second thinned coat isn't laying out smoothly, and brush tracks abound. Does anyone have any insights into correcting / avoiding this issue?
Thanks in advance folks!
