    Hey guys,
Not sure if anyone has seen this, or if it has been posted before, but I thought it worth sharing.

This is a short film called "Blake" - a really lovely story of a pilot and his single seat bipe.

    http://www.nfb.ca/film/blake/

The plane is MacGregor MG65 CF-RCZ - built in 1960. It was deleted from the registry in 1997.

    Anyway, worth the 20 minutes!

    Enjoy!

Very cool! It was neat to see the Electra taxing out in front of him at the big airport.

Neat little film, i enjoyed it. That biplane seemed to resemble a stretched Smith Miniplane. I wonder if that is where the designer got his inspiration?

StinsonPilot, one little correction for you though, that airplane taxiing out in front of him is actually a Vickers Vanguard. You can tell by the squared tip of the vertical stab, as well as a more pronounced dihedral of the horizontal stab. Air Canada operated the Vanguard from 1961-1972 in the colors seen in the video.

Incidentally, that large airport is in Montreal. It is 'Pierre Elliot Trudeau International' (CYUL).

This video show why we fly biplanes or what ever we have. Flight is wonderful in it's own right. We are so lucky the be the few that have experienced the world from above. Being one with nature in an element that God created. We have experiences that will be forever in our hearts and mind.
    Thanks for the video again!

    Because I fly
I laugh more than other men
I look up and see more than they,
I know how the clouds feel,
What it's like to have the blue in my lap,
    to look down on birds,
to feel freedom in a thing called the stick...

who but I can slice between God's billowed legs,
and feel then laugh and crash with His step
Who else has seen the unclimbed peaks?
    The rainbow's secret?
    The real reason birds sing?
    Because I Fly,
I envy no man on earth.

Great little flick. Asked my sweetie if she wanted to watch a cute little movie about a goofy guy and a neat little biplane. Seen it, was her reply. Still wondering how she meant that.

    By the way, neat poem.

Had to laugh, my dad told me at an early age, "if you don't want much you don't have to work much"!

Liked the film and a nice looking airplane. Those Air Canada 50 series DC 8's bring back memories.
