• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Plans are to get started replacing a one piece [no slip joints] exhaust system for the Starduster Too SA300, Engine Model: IO-360-A3B6D, S/N: L24011-51A, steel cylinders.

We've had several minor cracks welded and there's no major concern with the system right now but sooner is better than later on it's replacement. Cold WX approaches so this project moves to the top of the list.

I've looked over the PVC system mock ups and all that looks reasonable but I'm curious if anyone knows some one, or a company in the north Texas or southern Oklahoma area... or even western Louisiana that might be able to fabricate a new stainless [with slip joints ] system.

Does anyone have any experience with the PVC system ?

And on another subject: any input on a ADS-B in an already crowded back seat ?

A few photos would be Great !!

Thanks to All !! Mike V N1YW
