Hi guys, quick question... Anybody have any info on the rubber gasket mounted inside the aft section of the air intake scoop on the factory S-1S cowling. Just wondering if I should make a new one or remove it all together. I've been flying with the partial gasket for almost 5 years now, and thinking about removing it entirely. (FYI The airplane is not certified) Thoughts? Is it installed for airflow/cooling reasons?
