• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $29.95/year to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

My dad's biggest and best life hobby was his Fairchild KR-21 restoration. He died 3 1/2 years ago and I am only just now able to let it go. I spent many weekends at fly-ins with my parents, camping under the wing of our Piper Pacer while my dad chatted with the "old timers". I don't really know all that is stored but it has been stored in a climate controlled warehouse in Florida. I'm going to post some pictures here too. I've been talking with the Airpower Museum about donation but would be happier if someone wanted to finish restoration. I believe it would be considered experimental but am not sure why EAA and not AAA. $20,000 OBO but please PM me - anything is possible! I have engine log, and many more pictures if you're interested!

Jessica: Sorry to hear about your dad. I understand how it can affect a person and the time they need to deal with things. If you don't get a bite on the project here, you might give Mike Kelly at hotfoot149 at gmail.com a heads up. Mike is the honcho that runs the Fairchild Club and would help to get the word out on the project.

Antique aircraft parts exchange on Facebook is another good way to put the project in front of the right people.
