In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Ok guys my next question.
I am going through the front of the plane now(S-1C) and I would like to know what you guys are using for sealant for the firewall?
I have a cover for the bungee cords that wraps up under the front of the firewall and looks like it has an old tan colored sealant on it at one time.
I see something on the internet called PR-812. I also see aircraft spruce has a dapco 2200.
Then there is a 3M fire barrier 2000.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
thanks
John
