• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Just finishing up my Skybolt project ,that I started on in September 09. It's last flight was in 1997 then it sat in a hanger at the Sanford Airport near Orlando Fl. I have gone thru it from the tail foward, new floor, seats, wireing, instrument panels,SS firewall, all new cowl, firewall foward, and a Firebolt cowl that was cut into three sections to make it 2.5 inches wider and a track to use a K&N flat filter. The motor is a angle valveHIO 360C1A with fresh .020 over pistons(8.7 :1) with a Bendix fuel injection and Bendix mags, and a set of 4 straight SS pipes . It has smoke and is full inverted ( Christen System ) with 8 quarts it weighed in at 1237 with 108 on the tail. It was test flown last night, all went well. As soon as I can figure it out I will post some Photos.

Any one in the area, we meet on Wed. around 6 pm at the Ormond Beach Airport for hotdogs on the grill and some flying. Stop By.
