Had a few cracks in my exaust system that needed welding. One major crack occured at the base of the slip joint behind the cylinder stack tube.
During welding I noticed, that the tubes got thin like paper over the years and repair is certainly only a temporary fix. It is probably the original exaust system supplied by christen in the 1980's. So I consider building a new exaust system using the old parts as a template.
Instead of slip joints near the cylinders I would like to use flex tubes as they are common in automotive applications. I would get a tight and flexible connection axial, lateral and in rotational direction.
Any complaints other than weight?
Or expiriences in application out there?
Thanks for your input
Installed system is crossover type
