I have a new to me Waco YMF-5. It’s the second one I have owned.
When the airspeed goes over 140mph I get a high pitched ‘flutter’ of a flying wire. I can’t see it but you can definitely hear it and it can be heard from the ground. Sounds like it coming from the left side.
It appears you can no longer buy a flying wire tension tool. I did find one to borrow and its being shipped now.
Has anyone come across this before?? Should I be looking for something too tight or loose?? Any advice appreciated.
