Sorry to hijack your thread, but I heard there was a filter in this pump. Does the bowl above the Curtis drain just unscrew?

Yes, there is a filter. The housing unscrews but it is safety wired so the hole through the sheet metal panel probably is not large enough to deal with removing the wire, much less replacing it after the filter is changed. Plan on dropping the belly panel...
