:SOLD: :)

I decided to relist my Marquart Charger. Marquart Charger MA5, 0-360, Fixed pitch, Poly fiber recover two years, Through inspection and varnished when wings and control surfaces were open. Fuse also had thorough inspection for cracks and corrosion.
Fresh Annual 06/2017.
No damage history, Fresh annual with cyls in the mid to upper 70s, 1330 total engine time-not rebuilt. 1330 TTAF
All logs, plans, service records, Icom a200 radio, transponder, sigtronics high noise two place intercom, garmin 195 gps, nav and strobe lights
It climbs like a rocket and the engine is smooth with no leaks. One of very few that has 180hp. Excellent performance.
I understand that Ed Marquart did the welding. This plane is superbly rigged and the controls are perfectly balanced. There is not one thing that need attention.
There is a bubble canopy for the pilots seat and a metal cover for the front passenger, Fabric snap covers for both front and back. Brakes and throttle for both front and rear.
Asking $30K I need to sell to fund new panel for my RV7A
I am going to be hesitant in considering any offers without you first seeing it in person .
Plane is at Ankeny Iowa KIKV.
I put up some videos on youtube

Beautiful airplane. Does it have inverted fuel and oil?

A panel is worth a whole plane? I don't get that part of aviation. 2 years from now you'll have outdated avionics that the rest of he panel guys wouldn't have in there boats...but on the flip side, someone is going to have a beautiful Charger for a heck of a deal. Good luck with your sale...I just can't imagine a panel being worth the trade off...a $500 Garmin will get ya anywhere and have XM weather to boot.

I am a dinosaur. All I need or even want is a line on a chart, wet compass and a clock. Well, I admit I cheat now just in case. I have my $100 Garmin auto GPS. It gives me so much information like altitude, ground speed and while coarse is only N-NE-E etc. the little car(airplane) points exactly where I'm going....so much information that I can hardly take it all in.

The reason I installed the cigarette plug and the $100 GPS is to have a back-up in case the chart is blown out of the cockpit by the wind like it did one time in the Pitts when I was in the middle of no where.....

Interesting I believe the FAA likes for you to have charts on board even for those extremely short hops, just like for the compass correction card that is next to a widely swinging compass that may or may not be pointing in the correct direction.

I was taught either have current charts or have nothing if you are going to get caught.
